Transmission Shifter Leak

My MS6 needs a new seal in the shifter to stop a leak. The mechanic has been looking all week for the part. He called it a linkage arm seal. Mazda does not sell the part and it would be around $750 to replace the whole shifter instead of just the seal. Here is a link to the part hosted on google docs. Yea man if its not just a part but part of the whole shifter.. You might be screwed unless you can find somebody to fiddle with it.

My transmission shifter started to leak as well. Did you fix your leak problem? If so, what did the mechanic do?
