225/45/17 w/ +45 offset, will it work??

Right now I have wheels with 205/40/17 and on tire calculator is says Im 6% too fast which is bad.

I was wondering if 215/45/17 or a 225/45/17 would work?
Will they fit (no rubbing) the stock height Mazda3?
Its REV Model 7 wheels with +45 offset.
I WANT TO GET THE BIGGEST TIRE THAT WOULD FIT and eliminate some wheel gap WITHOUT LOWERING THE CAR.
Thanks for answering my question in advance.

Yes that size would with, and No you shouldn't have any rubbing problems.

i am running a set of 18's with a 48 offset on 2254518 and Tein Basic coilovers and i have no rubbing.

I'd think a 225/45 would get you closer to the 205/50 rolling stock. Obviously it would be wider, but the side wall would be close to that of the 50 series.

Day Pics, I know I need new tires, thats why I took pics, to see what size ya think I need.
205/40/17 is on there now with a 17x7.5 wheel with 45+ Offset.
