It is with deep regret that I announce that the owner of Supermazda3 has decided to sell the car and has asked me to get it sold. Please see the link "Superprotege ran 11.9s in the 1/4 mile, now building supermazda3" for background on the build and genesis of the car.
Due to the current economic situation and lack of sponsorship, the owner has decided to abandon the project. The car has been sitting in the owner's warehouse since its HIN victory in 12/08 and has been rarely driven. It is a 2008 with only has 2116 miles and bought to be a race and show car.
The car is currently running the bored out and sleeved engine on the GT35R turbo and 15 psi. The potential of the 2.6L engine has not been tested, the project has been sitting on hold. The manifold was changed from the individual throttle bodies to a custom Hiboost manifold.
Here is a list of the many goodies:
Engine: 2.6L engine, GT35R turbo,Haltech E6X, Hiboost Intake Manifold, 1000cc injectors, HKS BOV, AEM Wideband, boost and oil pressure gauge, and ported and polished head with bigger valves and stiffer springs
Suspension: Koni lowering springs and shocks, Hotchkis front and rear sway bars, Quaife LSD, 12 point NHRA Roll Cage, ACT street cluch and extreme pressure plate, stronger 3rd gear.
Appearance: 18X8 Konig Afterburners with primza lip, Brembo Front 13 inch cross dilled rotors and 4 piston caliper, Pioneer AVIC 23 with navigation, xm radio, a 7 ich screen, pioneer speakers, tweeters and 12 inch sub, 3 inch downpipe and exhaust
The sale of the car includes the fully built block that dyno @ 501 whp @27 psi, big GT40 turbo, front slicks, rear skinnies and light weight front and rear racing rim.
The owner spent $60,000 including the cost of the car on the project and is taking a $20,000 hit. The car ran 12s in the 1/4 mile slipping all over the place on the built not bored& sleeved engine and remember the potential of the big engine has not been tested on high boost. This a steal for a serious racer or company.
