side mirror

Hey everyone,

My wife backed into our garbage can and shattered the LH side mirror - awesome. Anyone have any options for a replacement. I did a quick search and nothing came up. I will post a pic asap.

I see a couple of options on ebay using the search terms "Mazda5 Mirror"

Is it just the glass? Or is it the housing too?

Just the glass, Im going to call mzada to see what they charge.

Looks like they are about $15 for the glass.

heya Fireman..ottawa here also..is it a GS or GT..

I can have it changed in 30 seconds if it is a GS..If GT I think some soldering is required for the element but can be changed fast.

Unfortunately I am in Moose Jaw at the moment. I do have a GT I assume the soldering is for the heating element? Is it difficult to remove the broken mirror?

No it is simple

Just push in on the top edge of the mirror with your hand until the bottom of the mirror is exposed. Grab the bottom of the mirror and pull towards you. It will pop out like Lego and you will see how the new mirror installs. You can wait for the replacement mirror before you pull on the base of the mirror.

The wires are dumby proof as it is just an element.
