Show me your CX-5 wheels

Hi, guys I'm new to Mazdas247. I own a CX-5 and want to upgrade my factory wheels (17inch). I really want 20inch rims but I would like to hear from you guys first to see how big of a difference has it made in fuel economy? Thanks!

Unless a large percentage of your driving is stop and go, the extra weight of 20" rims won't make a huge difference in MPG (assuming you buy suitably light 20" rims which can be expensive). But it does make the car feel less peppy and less nimble at slower speeds. If you go wider you will have more aero drag at high speeds and more rolling resistance so that's what will affect your hwy mpg's. Still, the effect is not devastating, just incremental. What I think is most significant is that 20" wheels will need lower profile tires and, the lower the profile, the less give the sidewalls have. The ride will be harsher and tire/wheel reliability goes down as sidewalls become lower. Especially bothersome if you drive on roads in need of repair.

I did not notice anything different with my 20"ers. I have noticed less pepines and no more wheel spinning(which is good). I'm getting the same mileage with this SUV then with my ex 08' VW Rabbit(2.5L 5 cylinder). That is fine with me. Stop and go and mostly streets, and I'm getting between 20.5-21.5 MPGs.

volk ce28n 17x9 +22 offset. each rim weighs less than 18lb. oem tire sizing 225/65/17. custom 2" suspension lift but i had 200lbs of tools in the back i was hauling to my job site that day so it appears lower than 2" in the back.

How much do the wheels poke out past the fenders?

I just bought my car, and its fitted with these 19" rims.

Not really to my taste, so im looking to swap them out. Anyone out there know what they heck they are, to help when I am selling them!?

They look bad. Try doing a google image search using a photo of the wheel from the side. The specifications of the wheel should be on the backside somewhere.

This is not my car or wheels, but I'd sure love to put them on my CX-5. Looks rugged and athletic at the same time. Has more depth and edginess than the stock rims.

Hey guys. New to the forum.

Looking to sell my stock '16 GT 19" wheels/tires with only 520 miles on them...pretty much brand new. But, I'm a little unsure of the price. I know buying the wheels new is around $320/piece and the TOYO tires are about $260/piece...equals to around $2,320. And that's not mounted/balanced. Does $1800 seem fair?

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks for your help!

OUCH!!! $400?! No thanks. I don't think I could justify letting like-new wheel/tires go for that amount.

So the price of $1,399 w/ $199 shipping shown in that link wasn't the final sale eh? Def a great buy to whoever snatched those up.

I guess I'll post em on the classified section and see what I get. Thanks for your input paris1.

Don't understand your response. The final sale price appears to be $1399 + $200 shipping, which seems reasonable to me. You should be glad you're not stuck with a set of 17s, which are damn near unsellible!

Sorry if I was unclear. $1400 + $200 shipping is a reasonable. I was shocked at the $400 price. Yea, I'm not a fan of those 17's.

I like the look of GT 19's, just not a fan of the weight and offset.

I believe that exclamation point was suppose to be a 1 in the $!400 selling price
