So this recently started happening to our 2007 Mazda CX-7
Whenever we get to our destination (whereever that may be)
We turn of the ignition
And the stereo (radio/CD) continues to play for 5 seconds
Then it shuts off

Is this standard?

Its rather annoying and I would like to change this setting if in fact thats what causing this

Cheers!

Julian

Normal for my 2007 as the capacitors hold voltage for several seconds. I usually turn my radio off before shutting the engine down.

Did you ever use DC to 110V AC converter in you car?
I used to have the same problem and the dealer told me it's because of the converter I was using to power my laptop. They've reset the electronics and since then I don't have the problem but I'm not using the converter anymore.
They said the electronics in CX-7 is not immune to the noise in the power lines the converter is making :).

I'm attaching the service bulletin they gave me.

Haha, I always thought this was a feature of new cars. You know, get to finish listening to the song while you unbelt and open the door...how is that annoying?

my moms car doesnt play the radio when the car is off but it does have electricity to like roll up the window if you forgot or stuff like that
it only lasts for like 5 secs and then you have to turn the car back on to roll up the window
