So I've had my protege for a year now and problems continue to arise. I've replaced all brakes and rotors, strut mounts and intermediate shaft bearing. Anyways, two issues that I cannot pinpoint are a rough idle (only when the car warms up) and I had previously pulled a p0171 code but haven't gotten it in a while. I've cleaned the maf sensor and I am running a K&N filter which looks pretty beat. Could switching to the stock box intake help? Also, I get an odd yet subtle popping noise from under the hood that only shows up when accelerating straight or left. It must be a drivetrain issue because it only makes the noise when in gear. I've been told my CV joints looked good and I just can't figure it out. Any help would be great. Thanks
