Rims will void your warranty?

Was in a showroom today looking at a 2014 mazda3, and the salesman said that if you change to non-stock wheels your warranty is voided. Anyone ever heard of this? Seems pretty crazy to me.

A second guy then said that if you just use a second set for winter tires, that would be OK, they just don't want you to permanently change rims.

I'd call around to the various Mazda Dealerships in your area and see what they say. Then call Mazda USA corporate and see what they say. Sounds like someone does not want to take the time to find out the correct answer for you. Just plain lame excuse for helpful service. You might also ask this question with the Service Manager.

That salesman is a dumbass, I'd recomend finding a better dealership to work with
