Paint scraper sounds kinda harsh IMO. I know 3M makes a product thats just made for taking off the glue.
Personally I just used goo-gone and then clayed and waxed the area that the molding came off of.

So goo gone? Will I still need heat?

Heat up the molding, took a piece of fishing line and ran it behind the molding. Clean up the glue with goo gone and wax. You'll be fine.
