P0106 code; MAP sensor failure??

Okay, i have asked before, but this time i'm fed up w/ the lack of info on the 2002 protege5 MAP sensor issues....
Can anyone explain where the carbon buildup is that would foul the sensor up soooo bad???
-I have replaced the egr w/ a new one
-cleaned the port down stream from the intake butterfly
-cleaned the fool out of the intake as far in as i could reach
-seafoamed the car thru the brake booster
-replaced the MAP sensor

where else can i clean this thing out that i already haven't???

Have you checked all electrical connections, could be vacuum leak. I know it may sound like a dumb suggestion but did you reset the computer?

yes reset after every cleaning/ replacement of part....

i'm running a k&n and it has at most 10k since the last cleaning/ oiling

Have you double-checked all vacuum lines? A vacuum leak could possibly cause the manifold pressure to be off.
