Oil Pan Paint

:
2014 Mazda3 Sport GS
I replaced my oil pan when I first got the car because it was so rusted I thought it was going to rust all the way through, and now my new(used) oil pan is getting pretty rusted too.

What would you recommend for painting/coating an oil pan with? Is just high regular spray paint acceptable, or does it need to be high hear? has anyone tried that rubberized asphalt stuff thats designed for fenders or does it get too hot for that? Or does anyone have other coatings they have tried that work well?

I would clean the surface really well, (with dish soap to break down any oils)

I would use this
VHT Epoxy paint.

no need for high heat paint, just something that will be durable.

+1 to the VHT epoxy coat stuff.

i used rustoleum primer on mine a few years ago after removing most of the rust. Yeah with a brush. It's held up well. Brown but nobody sees it down there.

if your on the highway a lot i wouldn't use that paint my oil temp gauge has gone up to 260+ (at 75mph)
