I know what you mean Phish... The other day I came to a four way stop. No one there but me and a guy going to other direction in a black Mazda3. I think we both sat at that intersection a few seconds longer than we needed to checking out each others rides. If they put the MazdaSpeed 6 2.3 liter 6-speed AWD 276-hp, 265-lb-ft motor in it I'll be all over it!

Nice. I'd have done the same thing. I'm torn when it comes to the 3 5door, I love my P5 but the 3 is so sexy, esp in black. Damn. I just hate the upkeep requirements of the color, other than that it's the hottest color IMO. When black is clean it's phenomenal, unfortunately its cleanliness is fleeting. (argh)

Some more pics to satisfy your appetites

Since the Mazda 3 has relatively 'rounder' and more 'muscular' lines, I tried to emphasize those in the pictures. Unlike a car with edgier lines (i.e. TSX), the Mz3 likes to be taken only on certain angles and certain focal lengths only (most preferably 50mm on 35mm film).

These were done on Fujifilm Superia 200 or 400 film. They look better in print than here on the web
