99 Mazda Protege ES
Greetings Mazda enthusiasts,

I am planning to buy an android app (Torque Pro) that can monitor check engine light error codes and a bunch of other parameters. Also planning to buy a compatible https://www.amazon.com/dp/ (commissions earned).

Now, I am not 100% sure if my 1999 Mazda protege has OBDII protocol or not.
Any info in this regard would be of great help.

Thanks

Actually the OBD-II specification is made mandatory for all cars sold in the United States in 1996. I had a 95 GSR and it was OBD1.

Also great app to have. I use it ( with the Bluetooth dongle of course ) on my P5 and my wife's Speed3. I have also helped out co-workers diagnose problems in their cars as well.
