NEPOC Install Day Part2

31 i'm in. Chris xxMSPxx bought some syncromesh so I'm sure he would like to change it out too. We were going to do it at my house but we were afraid that we wouldnt be able to get it in with out a pump.

Wait, I cant give you the money today. I have to save pennies until I get paid next week. I get paid every other week and had a rough month with the body shop, and the getting arrested and etc etc. Next week I'll have the bacon though

Kyle's real sketchy, we gotta keep an eye on that kid. Got free beers, and a room for free hahha. It's ok hes got the best stories, so I forgive him, I dunno if greg and all the others in the room do. hehe. Yeah I have been readin on the tranny fluis change, it looks like you do need a pump. But I am down for another install day. But I am real tight on cash right now. I blew my sub the other day so now I need a new one. And until just now I thought I was gonna need a new computer, but I got the son of a b**** working again. Hopefully I will have some stuff other then tranny fluid to install, I am sure I will find something.

I heard Kyle tried to climb in bed with craig that night too. He kept saying s*** like "I just wanna snuggle" and "No one will ever know" Fucken weird. I still like him though.

I can't look at the manual now, but I've seen that the manual says 2.9 Qts, but some people have put up to 3.9Qts on theirs. You don't measure what goes in, you just fill it until the fluid is level with the fill hole and will probably spill out a little.
 
When me and Greg bought my fluid we looked in the manual and the guy looked in a book, im pretty sure it was 2.9. Shouldn't be a big deal if you go over.

An example why forum information can't be taken as the absolute truth (crazy)

It replaces the factory fluid. Gets two quarts (Redline MT90) and either a hand pump or suction gun. Drain out the factory fluid, pump in the 1.8 qts of Redline (approx. 1.8 qts IIRC)

The manual says the manual transmission capacity is 2.9 quarts.

Three quarts plus a little bit of a fourth for Redline MT-90 in mine. I didn't replace the copper sealing gaskets and I'm fine, no leaks.

Proof that it has worked:
After draining the transmission oil, I refilled it with Red Line MT-90 by using a funnel with a long tube. No problem with this method. Removing the air intake snorkel over the radiator makes it easier to see what you are doing.

yeah, sounds like 3 Qts is about right, that's cool, I'll wait a bit, no rush.
 
I didn't steal any beers, i was hung over and just got in my car and left..I'll bring a rack when i come up again. As for the snuggling..well..we all get lonely sometimes.
 
cbcbd: I forgot your name, but I got my stuff from myoilshop.net i think.. I had bought tranny fuild, motor oil, and ps fluid for my car. umm I found out also that manchester honda STOCKS redline fluids! still $7 a quart.. so tax is cheaper than shipping... if you guys are nice to me and understand the escorts are better than proteges I call over there and just pick up the s*** lol. I live in waterbury now so im not too far.. my buddy knows how to get there.
