Well I found this little guy in the cargo area of the 5 the morning after getting tinted. I'm going to call the shop and see if they remember missing one, there is a chance they have a bin of screws and just swapped it out and kept moving.
I didn't peel back much trim, but couldn't find it's home this morning. Anyone have any ideas? To me, it looks identical to the screws that hold the rear lights assemblies to the body of the vehicle, not the hatch.
