My New 2017 GT

My 2014 GT got crunched while parked to the tune of $9k (pic & surveillance video below.) A Passat pulled out into the path of a Cherokee which took out his front end & went airborne into my car that was parked across the street. I was having my morning coffee when two policemen knocked on my condo door. I thought something had happened to my wife or kids & was "relieved" in was "only" the car. The driver's insurance wouldn't total it & my wife didn't want to keep it after it had been repaired (bad mojo.) So yesterday we picked up our new 2017 Sonic Silver GT. No premium or tech packages due to the budget but I would have liked the heads up display. Added a few accessories - Cargo cover (which should have been included), floor mats, rear bumper cover & side window deflectors (on order.)

I like the new features & updates over the 2014. Favorites so far include the much quieter cabin, better NAV w/free updates!, fold flat rear seats, the command controller, more responsive touch screen, power lift gate, etc. I'm not crazy about the wheels but that's just me. I've run into some compatibility issues with my phone (can't import single contacts.) Also wish the touchscreen colors could be changed (e.g. blue instead of red.) Looking forward to the Android Auto update too.

I'm very pleased so far & look forward to perusing the forum for info, solutions & tips.

Ouch. That was a nasty prang!

Congrats on the new CX-5 and hope you experience lots of trouble free (including accident free) motoring :D

With regards to phone issues, un-pair and delete it from MZD connect and re-pair it.

Congrats. On your new car. My next car first contenders will be Mazda and Acura/Lexus. I am impressed with my Mazda too.

Wow, that accident is crazy but honestly, that is the best way to get into an accident!
