The dash is actually quite flawless under that stupid carpet cover but I'm gonna leave the carpet there unless I take it to a meet/show.

Oh, what is this? A rare wheel that I have 5 of? I think so :p

Overall I am very satisfied with the car so far, the interior is perfect and the '84 seats are really nice. The whole under body and engine bay is coated so it won't have any rust problems down the road. Yes, there are things that need fixed (one of the rear drums are dragging) but he gave me so many extra parts I don't even think I have to buy anything to fix the few small problems it does have :) I couldn't be happier with anything else! :D

Well, I decided to mess with the spare tire/wheel today so if I do something stupid it happens on that one instead of the 4 with good tires...

Here is the spare after being stripped:

^Pretty sure that is the original rubber from 1978 =0 It still holds air!

Here is the stripped one(left) next to the one off the LR(right):

The part that is "polished" on the right wheel I am going to sand with a very fine grit sand paper to give it a brushed metal look, the "windows" will be painted gloss black and then I will clear over the whole face. Will look factory but really clean and black instead of the lame gunmetal color stuff. I know it doesn't look like paint but it was... as you can tell by the stripped one lol.

Looks like a real "survivor"....an original. Great color too. Personal preference, but I'd try to find a set of original seats for it and maintain it just the way it is. But it's your car, enjoy.

Thanks :) I will be keeping an eye out for some original seats, I don't really feel that the ones in there right now match the rest of the car too well.

Nice ride I also have a 79 rx7 but most fo it has been modded for track/solo use.
I like the car spark yellow is fairly rare, if it were mine I would try to find a stock stereo and seats.

Yeah, keeping seats in mind and I'd rather just keep the plain Pioneer unit in there for now but if a stock one comes by I'd probably pick it up.

Some pics from today ;)
