Middle of the Road Header

Ok, I'm not going to be racing, but I also don't like buying crap either. So, could anyone (unbiased (ha-ha)) recommend a header without braking the bank. JDM, OBX, AWR, others....

What to look for in a header? I've seen some post were people are bending waterpump plumbing etc. Don't want to get into some cluster if there is a clean bolt in header. Also, do most headers hook directly up to the stock exhaust? I will eventually replace as much of the stock exhaust as possible, but baby steps for now.

OBX 4-1 heder from Protege Garage. Fit perfect, no issues. Buy a new O-ring/donut gasket before you start- re-using the one you have after all these years and miles has made it really hard.

the OBX header is absolute poo (IMO), but it's easy. imo a better and cheaper option is a stocko 626 exhaust manifold. do you get the 626's over there? late 90's with the FSDE engine, but had no pre-cat. almost the same design as the obx and you can keep the heat shield to hide it
