Miata pistons

Have anyone here have swap the mx5 pistons to the 2.3 engine ,the mx5 ones are 10.8 comp. compare to 9.7 of the 3
but if you look for aftermarket pistons the compression change betwen engines leavin the 2.3 with higher comp usin the same piston

you likely won't see much difference once the pistons are installed, since the deck height on the 2.3 is slightly higher than the 2.0. if i were looking for a swap, i would look for a complete miata 2.0 head with cams. the head will bolt right onto the 2.3 engine, and flows much better, too. there are some miata guys that have swapped out the short block with the 2.3 or 2.5, used the stock miata head, and have seen quite impressive gains.

But why with aftermarket pistons you gain more comp in the 2.3 with the same pistons
