Hi. I'm thinking of purchasing OEM front and rear mud guards for my Mazda CX-5 but cant find many quality photos of what they look like in 'real life'. Has anyone got them and able to share photos?? Also, are they worth having? Do yous think they help protect the paint from road grime and the likes. thanks.

Unless you drive on a lot of gravely, muddy roads I really don't see the need for them. The areas behind the front and rear wheels on my 2013 CX-5 stay pretty clean on wet roads. I believe it is due to the aerodynamics of the vehicle. It may be tall, and boxy but a lot of time and energy was spent on aerodynamics.

Do these really do much? The rubber trim is pretty thick on the cx5, that looks like protection enough... thoughts?

dont get the front ones. they are useless!

I'm happy with the front ones. They made a noticeable drop in how much the side of mine gets covered in gunk from the freeway when it is drizzling. The times when it just gets the road wet enough to throw the dirt up but not enough rain to rinse it off.

If you want flaps that do something...

Those are a bit much for me. Maybe with big knobby off-road tires they might look okay but to me they go completely against the sleek shape of the car.

Can you get them with this?:

Those look badass!!! Where can I find them?

Rokblokz. They're great, and IMO a better value than a lot of what's on the market. The little RB stickers are optional (you can choose the color when you order); I run my mine blank.

The Rokblokz look like the best for practicability and decent looking. Probably way better in preventing debris than the OEM mud flaps (especially the front) since they're smaller in size.
