Location of engine number for Eunos Cosmo

I just imported a Eunos Cosmo 20B from Japan and need to do some registration document for custom declaration purpose. I found the number D439 on the front housing beside the "20B" mark. Is it the engine number?

My toy is a 1993 20B Type E. Photos will post later

Hi. I saw on another thread you were asking about 3 point belts in the rear. I had to go through this process for compliance in New Zealand. There is a seat belt mount under the hood lining on the rear pillar.
