SO has anyone actually tinted a set of JDM tails? Reason I ask is that I want to keep with the "dark" theme of the car...

Get the sedan headlights, they look really nice, and they're a lot cheaper than p5's
What's the process of installation? I here it's a bit more difficult

P5 lights are way better than the sedan version, IMO. Sedan lights use a single H4 bulb and have a side marker bulb that the P5 lights don't have.

Install = the same only thing different = single reflector vs separate reflectors. Personally I just bought a simple H4 hid kit and installed it with the low beam harness. I don't have high beams but you don't really need them if you have an hid kit. (you can't flash people, or piss off your friends though) other than that you have to shave a little off the bulb holder for the side markers, but the rest is basic know how
WOW...Super sorry for bumping a 2 year old thread guys, but I've been away via deployments and such...I didn't want everyone thinking I was flaky on the JDM tails...I have not forgot about you all... I ordered a set and am waiting on what the cost is gonna be total to have them shipped from Northern Japan to central Tokyo (Where I'm located at). Soon as I get them, I will post up pictures of the quality and come up with some price estimates to ship to the lower 48. As far as shipping to Canada, never done that before, so I'm not sure how that works out...lol
As soon as I get them, I will list a basic price per set for the Tails considering my cost and shipping from all over Japan to me in Tokyo. I plan on shipping the first set to my shop in the states to get an estimate of shipping cost (Packing, mail cost) and about how long it takes to get them. Once my guys get em in the states, they'll let me know a rough estimate on how long it takes to get the package. All in all, this will give me a better all around price for everyone.

Also, HKPRO5, I can in fact get Takata Harnesses here used for decent prices I believe...I'd have to look them up... Will get back to you on that...

Update: Put in the order for a complete set of tails...Soon as they ship to my guy in Tokyo, he'll send em to me then I'll get you a price + shipping to your location once I get my hands on them. Shipping is going to be the biggest killer on cost just so you know, but shouldn't be all that bad. Also, they are a used set, being there are no new ones anywhere unless you want to get with Mazda directly and I'm sure that will cost WAY too much.
