I know what you're saying, bud...the FS responds ridiculously well to big cams...at least in terms of sound...the entire rev range changes so much its incredible haha.
You will have to check that your Microtech has the Wideband feature enabled. I believe that the Microtech uses a 0-5v signal, whereas the stock O2 sensor is 0-1v. My suggestion is to look into an Innovate MTX-L unit, which should cover most bases.
If you splice into the crank and cam angle sensors in the cabin, you shouldn't need to use any mesh tube as they will be relatively shielded from the interference in the engine bay.
Why didn't you put a block-off plate on the EGR instead of that breather filter?

Not sure the sensors are different, but certainly the trigger wheels / maps are. I don't think it will really matter at the end of the day as long as you grab the right wires.
As these are sensor wires you should just be able to splice into them. Like I said before it's probably best to do it in the cabin.
