I smell coolant... all the time

If your cap states "FL22" on it then you need some type of special stuff. I'm not sure if this is the same as Dexcool.

If you add something else just plan on changing at a sooner date than the recommened time. Check your owners manual for details.
 
I was just quoted $15.75 for a gallon of FL22 by Congressional Mazda in Rockville, MD. That sounds pricey, but I guess that's just the way it goes.
 
Just want to chime in and add that I experience the same problem. Subtle, but unquestionable smell of coolant when I leave my car briefly and then come back to it (like coming out of a store or a restaraunt). I'm pretty sure my dealer will do nothing about it.
 
see post #11, spend a few bucks on four clamps and solve your problem or just keep hoping that it will a) go away or b) that your dealer will eventually solve it. neither will happen.
