When I select "Turn display off" I do it because I want the display turned off...period. I don't want the screen to suddenly light up with a cross-street message - I already know the area where I live. I've turned off all NAV features and the NAV itself but haven't found a way to turn this feature off. Next I'll try removing the SDD card but that seems a bit extreme.
