Current one is a 2005 Mazdaspeed Miata GT:

*Faster from the factory w/waranty.
*Price was right $6000 off sticker.
*Power oversteer.
*Attractive colors and body enhancements.

Cons:
*Heavy wheels.
*Big wing on the back.
*No side skirt to continue the ground effect scheme.

First one was 2003 Miata Base w/suspension package:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/492594/4

Pros:
*Basic.
*Price was right $6000 off sticker.
*Great sound.
*Very forgiving.

Cons:
*All of the wheels had the same spoke direction, making the appearance different on each side.
*Underpowered.

my 1991 is turbo'ed and pretty much a track only car now after putting 100k miles on it in 4 years.

Pros:
loads of fun
easy to work on
pop up headlights

con:
none.

my 1994 had a JRSC on it from the previous owner

pros:
see 1991

cons:
moddiefied by previous owner, so never felt like mine...

I currently own 2 Miatas (as do most true-blooded Miata ****** ;)):

'90 #1 - Continuous prepping for SCCA SOLO CSP with Megasquirt EFI/Spark standalone and impending '99 1.8L swap

'90#2 - Custom intercooled turbocharger installation using many parts from various makes including Volvo, Audi, Ford, Mazda, Mercury, and so on...

Pros:
-Inexpensive to own and modifiy (in moderation)
-An absolute blast to drive in any trim whether it be stock, upgraded suspension, increased power, etc.
-RWD "girly" car that is typically underestimated

Cons:
-Expensive to own and modify (it adds up after a while, hehe)
-Hard to find OE replacements in the local junkard
-The cool hard top is way too expensive

Only 1. 1992 Black n Tan

IMG_3089.jpg

Pros:
Easy to work on
Easy to set up
With some patience, they're not too hard to find cheap in good shape
Forgiving, easy to approach the limit

Cons:
Easy to mod (aka $$$)
Underpowered
Quiet (planning on fixing that soon ;))
Old (1st time getting some bolts loose will take some work)

Oh Gosh:

current: 2006 MX-5 Sport - 6spd

2128511_9.jpg
2128511_19.jpg
2128511_18.jpg

Pros:
Love the color (Winning Blue!)
Faster, less kidney busting over bumps
I don't end up with the car up on jacks fixing something when it's a beautiful day outside.

Cons:
Cost 5 times my last miata
I don't feel it's quite as tossable as my earlier miatae
Modifications are much more expensive

Previously owned:

#1 - 1991.5 B-package - Mariner blue - Ahhh - my first baby. Totally stock. It lives in Maine now. A miataphile from Maine took a train down just to buy it.

#2 1992 A package - White - w/KYB AGX shocks - sold it to my little bro and he put another 80K miles on it. Still going strong at nearly 200K miles

#3 1990 Mariner Blue beater! Brother's friend bought it and still uses it as a daily driver

#4 1990 Red - JRSC, Borla exhaust, Chrome engine detail, Katzkin seat covers. A fellow club member bought the car and uses it as his daily driver. Sold it to get my mazda5 kid-hauler thinking that I could live without a miata. Turns out I couldn't and I bought the 2006.

#5 1990 Silver - totally stock - thought about keeping it as a second, but hubby didn't want it taking up space. So sold it.

I may be forgetting one in between somewhere......

#1 black '99, base model.
MVC-001S.jpg

bought it w/80k miles on it, threw nearly everything racingbeat sells at it...

only con- not invincible. poor thing was murdered by a hit and run.

#2- green '99, base model.
goofyhelm02112007.jpg

bought it with the insurance money from the first one, w/about 75k miles on it....

kyb agx shocks, racingbeat springs, racingbeat style bar, racingbeat clutch, powerslot brake rotors, got a hardtop for it for a song, and this week i'm picking up some toyo ra1 race tires and some team dynamics wheels for the track :D

Just one so far. But there will be others. I've never been happier with a car.
It's a '90 with 197K miles on it now. Only 5K by me. I figure it's good for ten more years at least. The Protege's gotta go away first and make room for an RX-8 or Speed3 next.... :D

Ehe... YES!

So long as I can avoid another hit-n-run, I'll have my green one till I die...

Tho, when such thoughts come up as "what if I ever need a sedan for silly things like KIDS?"... RX-8 is as close to a sedan as I can entertain :)

i'm on my first...a red '91 b-pkg w/ (an apparently very well-maintained) 233,000. i've had it for two weeks.

it's the best decision i ever made. i get all happy thinking about driving it, then sad b/c i'm working and not driving it. i haven't driven it since sunday, and i think i have withdrawal.

anyway, i heart my miata. here's a cool pic of me leaving the line at philly region's water-cross last weekend (check out the water flying off the trunk):

Haven't trolled here in a while, been too busy at the Miata.net trying to break 1k posts. :) Anyway, I've had 2-

2006 silver sport with suspension pkg, 6-speed trans. Decent power, underside of top isn't exposed to sun, great fun to drive. Cons- slightly heavier than the previous models, I like to drive it too much and put too many miles on it.

1994 triple black, 5-speed with LSD. Very go-kart like drive compared to the other years, handled more flatly. Mine had lots of problems, though, but it was still tons of fun to drive.

My home page has pics. (click on member ID to see)

Just one so far.

1994 A-package 5-speed, bought at 117k, currently at 123k

miata14s5.jpg

Pros:
- $2500
- lightweight, RWD, tossable, fun to drive, etc.
- carves up corners with the best of them - minimal body roll
- drop-top sunny fun-ness
- great city car - practically parallel parks itself!
- no need to get pissed if someone scratches the bumper parking
- no need for full insurance, the car only costed $2500

Cons:
- body and top are in fair condition
- I didn't get maintenance records, so I'm really not sure what has been done and what hasn't

I've got enough parts lying around to build a twin engine Miata. Does that count as a third? ;)

If I recall correctly, you have enough spare parts laying around to build one BROKEN miata.

Pros:
- $1800 price tag
- RWD
- Handling > all
- Convertible
- Bye Bye AUTOTRAGIC (Protege5)
- GReddy Turbo Charged
- Girls seem to dig the "ultimate girl car"
- Guys seem to be bewildered when the "ultimate girl car" trail brakes and owns them in the corners
- Extremely fun to drive (moderately high "push it to the limit" limit)
- Easy to mod
- Cheap to mod

Cons:
- Body & Paint = Crap (body + paint work pending)
- Previous owner was a real cock & did not divulge ALL the mods he had done
- 1 zoom-zooom-boom motor
- Easy to spend money on since parts are in heavy abundance on various websites (ebay.com/GRM.com) etc
