How is factory stock car alarm for MS3?

I had a Magnedyne in my old car. Seemed to work well. To be honest, I think the quality of the install is more important than the brand.

It depends on what your needs are but for the most part, the stock immobilizer will do. Alarms, stock or aftermarket, don't really do anything in this day and age. But the other poster is correct, more often than not, other than specific features, install quality is more important than the brand of alarm you get.

i just got my MS3 last week so no aftermarket items yet...

They meant if you had any aftermarket audio gear or electronics worth protecting the interior of the car for. The only thing the stock alarm is lacking is a motion or shock sensor to protect against interior intrusion. If you just want to protect the car from getting stolen, your best bet is still the stock immobilizer or even perhaps an aftermarket one if feasible/possible.

i have the CompuStar remote starter with alarm, and it came with a two-way pager that beeps when the warning or alarm goes off. and you can get add ons like your windows could roll down/up. pretty fricking sweet...
