2014 Mazda3: Accessing vehicle with key to stop alarm

This tech is really frustrating to use in my opinion when there are issues. There's no "back-door".

When the FOB is completely dead (tried new lithium battery) and using the emergency (auxiliary) key, the alarms goes off as soon as I turn the key to the right. Turning the key left doesn't do anything.

The rubber button on the door handle (request switch) doesn't stop the alarm because it needs the "signal" from the FOB. In this case, the FOB is completely useless or the car isn't receiving the signal from the FOB. Walking over to the trunk with the FOB also won't stop the alarm.

Is there a way to bypass this nonsense and start the vehicle and stop the alarm without having to tow the vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis when the problem is with the vehicle's onboard security system malfunctioning? Tapping the FOB on the ignition switch doesn't do anything either.
