High mount stop light

Hey, i have a problem.
I was at the dealership the other day, and they said that my High mount stop light was out. Corroded as they put it. I took it apart, and nothing... clean, not an ounce of anything. Has anyone else had this unit burn out so quickly. I have a 06GS with 47000k in canada.

Now, the unit is sealed, ive done some poking around at getting a replacement, but no one really carries one, and they're like 110.00 CAD! ouch. *cough *cough *ripoff

anyhow, wondering if the community knows of a place to get one? I've called a couple wreckers, and they dont have any 5's in, ebay resulted in the same.

Is this part unique to the 5? or is it a shared part with another in the mazda family?

Ideally, i would like to get a clear one with clear red Leds.

Any help would be fantastic.

Have no clue man. Wreckers or pick-n-pull would have been my first thought. Aftermarket for the 5 in North America seems to be almost nill for the 5 too, so I don't know how you'd get anything but Mazda.

Anyone make a smoked version? Or do I need to smoke that myself as well.
