Hazard lights don't work

My hazard lights haven't worked since I bought the car, but the turn signals work fine. I know the turn signal flasher is built into the ECM or BCM, but do the hazard lights use the same one? Or is there a separate hazard flasher relay somewhere?

sounds like the hazard switch is either disconnected or broken. all signals go through the flasher relay.

Thanks, I kind of figured both circuits used the same flasher module. The hazard switch is plugged in, so I'll try replacing it and see if that fixes the problem.
