I have a 2022 CX5 Turbo. I was using the system through my phone's Bluetooth to dial out and receive calls. Sporadically, it doesn't work and I have to initiate calls on my phone first. This, of course, negates the whole point of having "hands free" dialing! I've disconnected and reconnected the Bluetooth from my phone and from the car several times. RARELY can I dial out now. Is there anything I'm missing? Cheers.

"I've disconnected and reconnected the Bluetooth from my phone and from the car several times." describe this more. did you 'forget' the car stereo on your phone and then delete and re-add the phone in your car? what phone and what OS? did it work fine at first and then at some point work sporadically or was it always sporadic?
