I dislike the lack of power door lock switch on the passenger side as well. I remember making that a complaint and posting and everyone thought I was crazy. However it's features like that (or lack there of) which personify the price range of this vehicle.
One thing about that warning tone... you're legally deaf if you can't hear it.
