EGR Gasket

Yes. I know, "search button". I have tried and nothing I have come across has been very helpful.

I've been having EGR issues, so I said, "eff it" and just went out and bought a new one. Glad I did because the spring works soo much better.

Anywho, I can't figure out which way the gasket goes! Some people have said that it doesn't matter. Other people have said things that aren't even helpful at all, such as, "It should point towards you". WHEN I'M HOLDING IT WHICH WAY?!

Ok /rant.

Should the pointy part point towards the center or outward? And should the indentation be down against the valve, or point upwards?

Pointy part faces outward. Not sure which way the indentation goes or if it even matters

Thanks. We just put it on whatever way and hoped for the best. Drove it 240 miles yesterday and it seems to be running fine. Knock on wood of course!
