Does the Nav say street name?

Does the Nav system able to do text to speech? Does it say all the street names instead of just "turn left / right"?

On the 2009 and earlier, no. Not sure about 2010.

I got the 2010 GT. And it doesn't seem to said the street name either. Sad...even cheapo GPS unit is able to said the street names now.

I have a 2011, still don't said the streat names at all. The Nav system pretty much suchs, in the 2011 version, the Map DB from Navteq is 2009... so is 2 years old, and in top[ of that, the total amount of POIs is around 2 million, that is almost 3 times less than Garmin or Tom Tom 1 year ago.

So, I am carrying my Garmin with me, when I can not find a POI in the CX9 Nav system, I look for the address either on my WM7 or in the Garmin and then use the Mazda Nav

I only use the POI for gas stations and it is pretty good (not perfect) for those. Everything else makes more sense to look up on a smartphone anyway as then you can get reviews etc rather than data that is a year or two or more old.
