Did someone hit me?

There's a whitish spot on the rear plastic bumper on my CX-5. I am not sure how it got there.

Did someone hit my car? The car has a ceramic coating.

Anybody have any tips on how to fix it? I tried just some APC to clean it off but its not coming off.

I couldn't attach my images (each are approximately 4 MB). Is there a size limit?

Maybe. Hard to tell as it looks quite faint in these pics. I can't tell that there is any damage, I just see a little whitish mark on the black plastic. Maybe try to take a magic eraser to it and see if it comes off?

Magic Eraser would be very bad on the black trim as using too much pressure can fade the trim and make it much worse. Using a product made for the trim like 303 Aerospace or Back to Black is much better.

I've used magic erasers to remove wax that has accidentally gotten on the black trim, but usually follow that up with the 303.

Is it possible your rear window heating was on and that caused it?
I read on other forum that ppl have issue with windshields cracking when using window de-icer...

This was on the lower bumper. No where near the rear defroster.

I didn't try the magic eraser. I followed sm1ke's advice and asked my detailer. He fixed it by using a stronger cleaner and was able to rub most of it away with a microfiber cloth.
