My primary concern, being that its a safety device, would be if the airbag was installed incorrectly to cause the "lump" in the dash. As some one else stated earlier in the thread, removing/replacing the airbag is no easy task because these don't have a removable cover. You may be opening yourself to a whole bunch of new issues, problems, or noises if you walk in demanding the dash cover be replaced. The entire assembly is usually installed as one completed piece.
I just purchased one thru Ebay. It's an aftermarket front hood bug deflector and this one extends longer than the Mazda OEM hood protector. I plan
on installing it tomorrow. It's held in with clips in 4 places on the hood.
