Cruise Question.

On the way to work today, I was going to set the cruise to keep the speed down. Got the main cruise button on, pressed the set button, and the CRUISE light came on in the dash. Then...nothing. Tried it several times, but no crusie...it just drops speed and the light eventually goes off. WTF?

so its like you can activate it, but it has no control over the throttle body?... check to see if the actuator is attached to the butterfly.

Sounds like itis trying to engage, but once it senses it is not working, off it comes. Check the vacuum hose to the intake manifold, and all other connections. Doubt a fuse woudl have anything to do with it, since the light is on, and I am not sure if there is even a cruise control fuse.

Check out the baiscs, and keep us posted. Might ultimately need to go to a shop.
