Blacken the headlights day? G.I.

Any takers in NM? I really am wanting to do this and the weather is going to turn colder soon.... Anyone interested and can think of a good time/ weekend/ weekday we could do this?

I thought about that headlight blacken thing but I think i do not want to do it. it would look pretty sick, but if i did do it, it would throw off my car's look. It would look "off" unless I also blackened the fogs, sidemarker (both the side blinker and the amber one on the bumper), the taillights, etc. Then i would have to blacken the flying M on the front, back, and the mazda logo and the Protege 5 logo. Then, to top it off, i'd need to get gunmetal rims. All those mods are way too much money, $ I'd rather spend on other mods. So I do not think I will do this because the work involved in doing a full change of my car is too much. My car already has the chrome look all the way around, and I don't want to change it (I really like it). But let me know how it goes.

Andrea- This will look sick on your car, black headlights looks really good on a white car.
Kelly - This will complement your car nicely too, you already have those CF eyelids and the side decal, and the CF tails. The black headlight would look really good.

both of you should get gunmetal rims, that would look really nice. RT66- if you don't get gunmetal rims get straight up white rims - that looks really good on a white car - but may not go well with the black headlights. I don't know.

Painted mine already, but not black!

Hey guys, Don't be mad, but I already painted mine to body match, not black.
Check out the pics, turned out pretty good! Rich still wants to mess with his and we can do yours Andrea at the same time. I need to reseal one of them.
Also I shaved off the side mouldings, which I think made a nice difference!!
Just need to set up a time, let me know whenever. Weekend of the 23rd is no good though!

Wow, that looks real good. I think silver is one of the only colors you can get away with doing body color on. I saw yellow one time and that was real ugly.

By the way, There's a red 02P5 for sale in the journal yesterday for around $12k w/30k miles, if you're going to be looking for a new ride at all.

cool. I looked at autotrader and there were 4 P5s. 3 were red and 1 was silver. All had auto trannys except the red one. I definitely want to buy a stick this time, so a p5 is a possibility. It all depends on how much money i get from my car. If I get enough $$, I might go with a Subaru WRX, VW GTI, Acura RSX-S, or a SRT4 (all used of course). But let me know if you see any good cars (including P5s) with good deals in Abq. I'll be looking for a new car next weekend I think, that is, if my car is in fact totalled.

I do know that the damage is >$12000 but I do not know how much they will give me for the car to determine if they will total it or not. Kelly Blue book says $16305 because I have low mileage and my P5 was loaded. So we'll see what happens.

hey guys, hows it going? I have been offline for the last month, but I'm back. I'l give you a little update on mylife. I no longer have the p5, it left with sarah. So ace I dont need that exhaust after all. (I just got your pm) I bought a 03 ranger for work, but that probably wont stay stay stock for to long. I am still working on the escort. kelly your car is coming along well,very nice. drea, have you done anything new to your car? Hey rich, I stil need your help onthe turbo setup and the boost contoler.
