Big cans of touch up paint ?

Yeah, take the car and get it painted????

If you spray a large area with a rattle can it will look like poop.....

I never said I was painting a large area.....Or that the area was even visible.
When you ASSUME..... you make an ASS out of U and ME !

Not all that much of the car is painted and not visible, at least occasionally. Anyway, if you are doing the inside of the engine compartment, or some place like that, and you don't care if it might give a mechanic a chuckle at some point in the future, then you could pick up a can of whatever color at the local car parts store.

Gee ...thanks for all the brilliant advice ,I never would have thought of a "Car Parts Store" or "take it to get painted" ...but I just asked for a source of Mazda paint in a can.

Unless you somehow get all of the rust out, and the area well sealed, it's going to need to be redone anyway.

At least this is what I expect with my rusting P5. Posted about it yesterday, but in the Protege forum by mistake:

If I can keep mine from looking like a rustbucket, I'll be (almost) happy. I'd rather it wasn't rusting in the first place--I thought serious rust just didn't happen to six-year-old cars these days--but that ship has sailed.
