better off?! how? the full bumper conversion will cost more, and involve many more parts. plus, you will have to have the full bumper painted to match, or it will look like complete crap.

I got my msp bumper, lip, and rebar for 150 and getting them painted soon. It all depends on who you go to and how much you get the bumper assembly for... so its just a numbers game. Ultimately, it all depends on the individual in the end.
