2017 CX-5 not going into Park?

Anyone had an issue with their cx5 not recognising it’s in Park and therefore the not being able to turn off the car? (2017 CX5)
TIA

Our 2014 had this problem... the cause was a misadjusted park switch in the shifter assembly. I fixed it myself by inserting some packing.

Try, rattling the shifter around when it's in park and see if that gets the switch to work, if so, then you know that's the problem.

UPDATE: See this...

As suggested above, it could easily be a sensor switch related to shifting.

On a Mazda3, I had troubles reliably getting it out of (and sometimes into) Park. Turned out to be the brake sensor switch needing replacement. Another spot to look, if the shifter-area sensor(s) isn't the problem.
