2013 CX-9 GT - Power rear lift gate is not locking properly.

Hello!
Can you please advise.
Im more and more often experiencing problem when power lift gate is not locking properly when I'm closing it electronically (not manually). It goes down without any issues, but in the end doesn't lock and making three beeps sound to let me know that the gate remains open. I have to approach to the gate and slightly press on it to make it fully lucked. It is not constant problem and it does sporadically, but does it now pretty often. I do not have any obstacles in cargo. Besides cargo net in there it is empty so nothing should interfere with closing the gate.

Is there anything I can take a look at and check/adjust myself?

Yeah happened to me. There is a small plastic cover inside the hatch that gives you access to the lock. Your lock is stuck. Pop it off and you can manually open it. There are details in the owners manual. I haven't taken mine to the dealer to look at yet. But yeah your lock is stuck in the lock position.
