2010 Mazda 3 2.5 K&N Cold Air Intake Issue

I am currently having 2 issues with my newly installed CAI. The install itself went fine, however when I drive around and a come to slow down at a very low RPM (around 1000) I can hear a weird metal or plastic rattling noise coming from my car, does not sound like its from the engine though. I also notice that when I turn my car off the engine makes a weird noise where it sounds like a computer beeping for a few seconds, then a short puff of air sound follows. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

If it started when you installed it, remove it and see if the noise remains.

maybe a loose bolt or washer, K&N recommends periodically checking the bolts on their kits.

the rattle means the CAI is contacting something somewhere. recheck the tubing and make sure there are no contact points or very close clearances anywhere.

the hissing noise is completely normal for an "open" type intake. your car made the same noises stock, but they were muffled by the snake of stock plastic intake tubing.
