2003 Protege5 back from the brink: budget rebirth.

Hey dude I am in love with your work on this p5, i know you said you used a wide fan cap for the paint do you know what it was called... the one i found i thought would work ok was called the 49er. does that sound right?

Not sure what I used. It didn't have a name. I just picked up a bunch of caps and found the one I liked the best for me.

where i cop my caps from we have silver and black fat caps that are the same as the 49er and they have been great for me getting maximum coverage on painting projects.

hope all this helps out homie

do a couple test shoots on something else since some fats just spray out GIANT circles even up close and can dump more paint then you could possibly ever need if your hang out in one spot to long

This car is unbelievable. Stock body's are the best. I can't believe I've never seen this thread before. Mad props. If I could have this kind of car in the aggressive Alberta winters I would but sadly rust and salt is the enemy :(. You have 2 thumbs up and a new follower on Instagram.

I am IN LOVE! With all the mods I've seen and done and meets I've been to I think this is in my top two! Awesome job!

I've been looking at resurrecting my yellow P5 for a while now. Debating between wrapping it myself, or having a shop paint it, and I think this is the way to go for me! Cheap, just takes my time and patience. Thanks so much for the write up and being patient with all of our questions :)

How is it holding up over a year later?

Still holding up great. Rock chips up front as any car would have, but it parks outside and is freeway driven daily. plus I drove to cali and back in march.

Can you elaborate on the Q CODE thing? How do you set something like that up anyways? That is really cool..
