12,208 CX-5 Sales in USA for July.

I went with the FWD. The pros outweighed the cons.
1. Cheaper (AWD was up-charged because folks got suckerd into it)
2. Less moving parts= less stuff to fix
3. Better MPG

I live in FL but I grew up in Philly with a 95 fwd Corolla. Not 1 winter did that car get stuck or spin out. So I don't see the benefit of paying more for AWD (unless it was a quattro type setup or I drove on the beach often).

Ehh...just slap on an AWD badge on your FWD and you got the best of both worlds!!

On a serious note I wonder what it would be like having an AWD model. Seems like it rains 10 days out the year in my region :)

Wow, that is closer than I expected. A lot more FWD out there than I thought.
It*s the South keeping things in check...
Yeah try to find an AWD CX-5 in Texas. When I wanted an AWD CX-5, none of the Mazda dealers in our area had one. In fact, none of any Texas Mazda dealers had one with Sonic Silver at the time! I'd to special order one from LA port of entry taking 23 days to get it.

Back to Sales - Ford Fusion / Taurus / Focus / Fiesta gone. Chrysler 200 type sales depreciation. Brand new 200s loaded were selling for 14k. Not sure if Ford will go that bad - probably snag a 37K Fusion for 20-22K USD. PHEV Titanium trim. Not bad.
