Suspension Upgrades

Eh, CX-5 is a fun car. It's certainly not a race car, but I wouldn't fault anyone for wanting to make it even more fun to drive.

Though at a certain point, I'd think a performance car is probably where you should be headed. ;)

Sorry, to clarify, my understanding is that the CX-5 AWD has a LSD in the rear axle. I know the Mazdaspeed6 has LSD on the rear and that is like the precursor system to the i-Activ AWD we have today. Would like someone to confirm that info though.
Lsd on rear not front for awd variant.

Thanks for the clarification.

I wouldnt waste a penny on trying to make a slow car handle any better than it already does! Performance tires? lol

Disagree. If handling isn't important, why not just buy a RAV4 or something then?

I used a Focus ST as a daily driver for 150k miles and appreciated the fact that is was fun to drive even when I was just commuting. Now I've got two young kids and need something that I can put two car seats in, one rear facing, and still have room for a little stuff. And it's got to have AWD. So I can definitely see myself buying a CX-5 and stiffening up the suspension a bit to be closer to what I prefer.

I did some laps at Harris Hill in my completely stock GT and it was surprisingly good. 70 mph around the hairpin with no worry? Impressive for what it is.

The CX-5 and just about any mazda are def vehicles worth upgrading the suspension on should the owner want to. Taking your Mustang GT to the autocross and getting whipped by a dude in a Ford Escort beater let alone an old Miata would give one a different view of driver centric cars. Power isn't everything.

If you even need to explain to someone that power isnt eveythomg, its just simply not worth the effort to tell them...

Who the fook said power is everything?

Jebus, replying to threads you start is like talking to a fooking brick wall.
