Autolock Anti-theft

Is anyone using the Autolock to protect their CX-5? Does it fit the brake pedals or are they too thick? Thoughts on the utility of this device?

I think these devices inconvenience the owner more than they prevent theft. See also: wheel locks

Wheel locks helps - mine was dealer installed. These Toyos are costly. There has been few instances of tires being stolen and in all cases it did not have w locks. I am talking of an immediate neighborhood in NJ.

I thought you can't start the car without the key fob....

Wheel locks are easily defeated with a hammer and socket wrench. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpR_VhkiAQA

The most common vehicles for wheel theft (around here at least) are trucks and SUV's like Tahoes. Entire dealerships get hit in a single night. They then smuggle the wheels to Mexico where they are very popular. CX-5 wheels...not so much of a market to make it worth it.
