Hey all... I just got a message on my answering machine from my mazda dealer. She said there is a concern with the transmission and that I need to take the car in . I didn't complain about any problem, so I'm wondering if anyone has heard about a confirmed recall for the Mazda3 tranny (5-speed)?

The noise is a clunk...Like it is clunking into gear..no other car I ever drove (standard) ever did that....Sounds very worrisome....Do you have that trouble?

Hey all... My new 3 has about 1000 miles on it. Can anyone tell me when the "break-in" period is over. ALso, am I supposed to be getting such crap gas mileage during the breakin. So far, it has been getting progressively worse...24, 22, and my last tank only 20MPG!?!? It is mainly city...

hey all... got my new 3 a little while ago.. I've been reading alot about break in periods (this is my first new car)... The problem (maybe) is that my new car was driven by the dealer 230 miles from another dealership to the one close to me..so the breand new car went about 400km on a brand new...

hey... i've gotten 26 and 24 mpg... As for the breakin period, the dealer had the car brought 250 miles from another dealer...driven..whether or not that affected the breakin period, who knows..

it sounds like a gurgle and sputter, like a hole in the muffler, but only at low low speed. Anyone encounter this?

Hey all... Just bought my new Mazda 3 but am wondering if a noise in the muffler when starting is normal.....I've never heard it on any other type of car.... ANy ideas? Is it normal?
