well I took my 03 5 in to the dealership last week for some erratic idle and clunking noise from inside the head..... took them a week to figure out that the pistons were damaged, and they still dont konw what is rattling around in the head service mgr says i need a new motor.........hopefully...

here's my 1st gen I just picked up the other day 1981 RX-7 89,282 original miles 300 mile tranny, clutch, pressure plate, TOB new exaust i *think* the rest is stock only thing it needs is a fuel pump....and she'll be on the road gonna paint her too....prolly gunmetal gray....or something...

do any of the other fuel pumps from other RX's work on an 81? thats all my 81 need to be on the road.......having trouble finding one for a good price I have access to a second gen pump for free........will it work without too much customization? TIA

ok....went for a cruise.....put a decent beating on the car I stopped at timmy ho's to get some food.......car is idling, when the a/c compressor would kick off the RPM's would drop down to almost nothing then back to normal(600 ish) it would do this twice every time it kicked off nothing...
