also if the bearing wasn't pressed in correctly it would wear out pretty fast as well. i've done my own wheel bearings and i use aftermarket ones and the seem to last fine for me. gotta get them in just right tho.

sound like you have a possible bad wheel bearing. may wanna check those out and see if they need to be replace. I personally change them both if one is bad just because i always think if one side went bad then it's a matter of time before the other side craps out. Just a thought.

how is the battery voltage and charging system? if you had the car stored for a while then you might be running on a tired battery. The engine rpm drop is probably due to the load put on the alternator from turning on the headlights. just a thought..

Maybe your bov spring isnt tight enuff. And if youve already gone to fmic it would be a waste to go back to smic. Its gotta be something simple. Kinda hard to help troubleshoot over the net.
